Roberto Vega Ortiz born and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. Roberto has danced professionally for over a decade and toured more than 10 countries worldwide. During his 2-year tenure as a Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo member Roberto trained at Escuela De Ballets De San Juan, Conservatoria De Ballet Concierto De Puerto Rico, Escuela Especializada En Ballet Julian E. Blanco, and Miami City Ballet School. He also danced professionally with Ballet Concierto De Puerto Rico, Nashville Ballet, Diablo Ballet, San Jose Dance Theatre, Ballet22, and Mauro Ballet. In October 2020, Vega Ortiz co-founded Ballet22, which was named Dance Magazine's 2022 "25 to watch", serving as its Artistic Director, President of the Board, and Lead Dancer until 2023. Vega Ortiz is currently the co-founder and co-director of Enby Ballet. Roberto Vega Ortiz is excited to call Spartanburg home and to be part of Ballet Spartanburg.
